I was so blessed to be able to visit Lorettas home in Butcher hollow this summer .Imet her brother who was there at the house taking care of his horses. He wasa very nice man and he gave us a tour of the house for a small fee of 5 dollars a person. He spoke of their lives growing up and you could tell by his eyes and smile that this family was full of pride and love of one another. He showed pictures and told his story of each one. He also made me feel at home . The way the music played in the backgound with Loretta singing was just wonderful. It was an experience I hope every Loretta Lynns fan would be able to enjoy.I cant begin to explain the feeling I had when I walked into the house. I know it was an ordinary house but it was more to me then that .This woman inspired me to sing songs today and the other great women like Patsy cline and so on can not be replaced by the newer artists . I sing her songs in a band locally every friday night and it was the greatest feeling I could ever have to walk on the floors of the house that she grew up and sang in. My only other dream in life is to meet her someday. Her brother Herman was such a great man and he really made us feel welcome and stopping at her house was the best thing that happened on our trip from huntington west virginia. She will be in ashland close to where I live october 22nd but I was not able to get tickets. Hopefully she will come back to ashland next year or even huntington when I will be able hopefully to get tickets. Maybe my dream to meet her could come true then .But one part has already come true when I entered butcher hollow this summer.

Dear Ms. Lynn myself and my wife are teachers at West Carter High School in Olive Hill, Kentucky. We both are involved in the Special Education department and are really big fans. However , we have a student who is a great fan of you and your music. We were wondering is there any way to get a specially autographed picture and a few remarks for this big fan of yours. This student is very autistic and a great kid who lives to hear your music. Please reply if there is anything that we need to do from this end. thank you
