About Me
I am a mixed Cherokee and white female. I have an associate degree in office administration and have been married to the same man for 47 years. He is now living with a heart pump for 4 1/2 years. He is very sick and I cannot work because I am his caregiver. I, just like Loretta, have spiritual emotions and I am also a coal miner's daughter. My Father, Floyd Albert Conley, worked in the coal mines here in Alabama near Birmingham. I remember living in houses that had coal burning heaters. We also lived in houses with fireplaces and I remember watching the coal burning and having to use the poker when the fire went down to keep it burning. So many things I lived that Loretta lived, too. Those memories I would never trade for anything. My family on my Father's side was very much country. They said words like, "I'm a aimed" and they believed in "Haints" and swore they had seen many of them. They scared me to death with all their stories of ghosts. I used to have to go to bed with a towel warmed by the fire and then put on my feet until the bed got warm. Sound familiar, Lorretta? Ice would form on the inside of the windows in the wintertime. I have two grown children with children of their own. I would do almost anything to have just one experience of being able to visit and talk to Loretta. I love her so much. I don't care about her money at all. All I want is to have a friendship with someone who has walked the life I have. We are so many ways alike. I wish just once I could be a friend to her. I live in between Tannehill State Park and Green Pond, Alabama. Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Please try again. 1 Comment
